Delete your Kardiacs account
Kardiacs · by Kardiacs LLC · for the Kardiacs apps on Android, iPhone and Apple Watch, and the dashboard at app.kardiacs.com
If you signed in with Apple or Google
In the app
- Open Kardiacs and go to Settings → Profile.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm. Your account and everything stored with it are deleted, and the app signs you out.
On the web
- Sign in at app.kardiacs.com.
- Open Preferences and use Delete Account at the bottom of the page.
- Confirm. This runs the same deletion as the button in the app.
By email
If you have uninstalled the app or can no longer sign in, email support@kardiacs.com with the subject “Delete my account”, from the email address of the Apple or Google account you signed in with. We delete the account that address belongs to and reply when it is done.
If you never signed in
Without an account, Kardiacs keeps your history under an anonymous identity for your install, with no name or email attached.
- Open Kardiacs and go to Settings → Profile.
- Tap Delete My Data and confirm. Everything Kardiacs stores for that install is deleted, on our servers and on the phone.
Because an anonymous identity carries no name or email, we cannot find it from an email request. If the app is already gone, uninstalling it has removed the data on the phone, and anything we hold for that identity is deleted automatically once it has gone 59 days without use.
What is deleted
- Your account, and the email address and sign-in identifiers we received from Apple or Google
- Your profile: date of birth, weight, and fitness settings
- Your activities, workouts, and saved routes
- Your equipment and preferences
- Tokens for any connected services
- The copy of all of this on the device you delete from
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you want to keep your history, export your activities as FIT files in the app first.
What is kept, and for how long
- Backups. Your data leaves our production systems within 30 days and our backups within 90 days, except where the law requires us to keep something longer.
- Crash reports and analytics. Crash reports and usage events already sent to Firebase and Sentry describe the device and the app rather than your activities. They are not stored with your account and expire on those services’ own retention schedules.
- Subscriptions. A subscription bought on iPhone is billed by Apple, and deleting your account does not cancel it. Cancel it in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions.
- Group rides. Messages, photos, and voice you sent in a group ride went straight to the other riders’ phones and never to us, so they stay on those phones.
