Kardiacs talks to fitness equipment over Bluetooth, so start there: make sure Bluetooth is on, and that Kardiacs has Bluetooth permission in Settings → Kardiacs. Most trainers and sensors will only pair with one app at a time — if the device is still connected to another app, your bike computer, or the manufacturer's own app, close that connection first. Waking the sensor (start pedalling, or damp a heart-rate strap's contacts) also helps, since many stay asleep until they detect activity.
If it still won't appear, email us with the make and model.
Kardiacs reads age, weight, heart rate, HRV, VO₂max and cycling FTP to set up your profile and training zones, and writes workouts back. Health permissions are per-category and can't be re-requested by the app once set, so check them in Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Kardiacs and enable anything that's off.
Outdoor routing and turn-by-turn guidance need location permission. For recording that continues while your phone is locked or you're using another app, choose Always in Settings → Kardiacs → Location. Route quality varies with the underlying map data — if a route sends you somewhere wrong, send us the route and we'll take a look.
You can connect and disconnect these under Settings → Connected Services in the app. Disconnecting deletes the stored access tokens. If a connection stops working, disconnecting and reconnecting re-authorizes it, which resolves most cases.
You can delete individual activities, workouts, and routes in the app, and export activities as FIT files.
To delete your whole account, open Profile in the app and tap Delete Account — or, on the web dashboard, open Preferences and use Delete Account at the bottom. Either one runs the same deletion. This is permanent and immediate: it removes your account along with your activities, routes, workouts, health history, and any connected-service tokens. It can't be undone, so export anything you want to keep first.
